Welcome to ECC!
The ECC is not a conventional language school; it functions primarily as a university for Japanese studies while also integrating a language school for international students, making it an ideal setting to learn Japanese.
The close interaction with Japanese people of similar ages facilitates rapid improvement in language proficiency, and the prospect of university study adds to its appeal, especially for those considering further education in Japan.
The ECC places a strong emphasis on rigorous instruction, including regular homework assignments. The pace of learning is notably faster compared to other language schools.

Everyday-life at ECC
The ECC is located in the middle of Umeda - Osaka's largest district. Thanks to the close contact with Japanese students and the many cafés, restaurants, games centers, etc., there is always plenty to do after the language lessons. And for travel enthusiasts, the 30-minute drive to Kyoto is only a stone's throw away.
Our Students' Feedback
The lessons at ECC were great, but at the beginning I wished I had learned hiragana and katakana in advance. The pace of learning was fast, but I really learned a lot during my 3 months in Osaka. I particularly liked the good location near the main train station, which makes the school easily accessible.
I really wanted to study Japanese in Osaka or Kyoto and chose Osaka because it's a bit bigger and more reminiscent of Tokyo. As I come from the countryside and have never lived in a big city, this was very important to me. Before my time in Osaka, I already knew a little Japanese, so I was able to skip the beginners' class.
About the Location
Osaka
Osaka is also known as the “capital of the West”, as it is the country’s second largest metropolis. Compared to Tokyo, people in Osaka and the Kansai region are a little more relaxed, which makes it easier to make new friends here. The Kansai dialect in particular is something that the Japanese here are proud of – although the language school teaches standard Japanese.
