Welcome to Unitas Language School!
Welcome to Unitas Language School in Kofu, located in the heart of Japan’s picturesque Yamanashi Prefecture. At Unitas, we prioritize fostering a close-knit relationship between teachers and students to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment!
Registration is available four times a year, allowing students of all levels to start improving their language skills at any time. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced learner, Unitas welcomes everyone.
Located in Kofu, just an hour by train from Tokyo, our school provides a unique opportunity to blend learning with exploration in one of Japan’s most stunning regions. Yamanashi is known for its breathtaking landscapes, including the iconic Mount Fuji, and offers a range of outdoor activities amidst idyllic natural surroundings.
A special fun fact about Kofu: it receives the most sunshine annually across Japan, making it an ideal locale for those eager to learn Japanese while enjoying sunny weather and the warm hospitality of Japan.

Unitas offers courses ranging from JLPT N5 to JLPT N1, covering all difficulty levels. Both beginners and advanced learners will find suitable classes here.
Everyday-life at Unitas
Compared to big cities like Tokyo, there are fewer shopping centers in the countryside - but the nature is all the more beautiful. We therefore recommend Unitas to all prospective students who do not want to live in a huge metropolis and want to focus entirely on studying Japanese. Mount Fuji
Yamanashi Prefecture also includes Mount Fuji - at least half of it. The prefectures of Yamanashi and Shizuoka are in constant dispute as to which prefecture Mount Fuji belongs to, as it is centrally located between the two prefectures.
