Our Students' Feedback
I have a Japanese friend from Fukuoka and that's why I opted for the Fia. Kyushu is very different from the rest of Japan. The mentality of the people here is completely different and generally everything just seems a bit more southern. Getting there is a bit of a hassle because there are no direct flights from Germany to Fukuoka, but with a transfer in Tokyo it's no problem. I traveled from Tokyo by express train with the help of Nipponcademy.
I already spent a semester abroad in Fukuoka during my Japanology studies and had many friends there. After I completed my Bachelor's degree, I wanted to go back to Fukuoka for another six months. As wasting half a year was out of the question for me and I wanted to continue practicing my Japanese anyway, I decided on a working holiday stay with an integrated language course at the FIA.
